New head of retail banking for Bank of the West
Bank of the West has named Andy Harmening senior executive vice president. Harmening will now take charge of managing the regional banking group, which provides services to consumer and small business customers through 685 branches across 19 states. Bank of America has named Tom Vessey its senior vice president and senior client manager for commercial banking in the San Diego area. Vessey will be responsible for managing large general industries and businesses, including technology, financial, sporting, and biotechnology companies. Vessey will also act as a partner with the company’s Global Investment Banking force to offer capital markets services and advisory solutions to clients and prospective clients. He has 26 years of banking experience and has lately served Union Bank of California as vice president and senior relationship manager. Keybank signs agreement to acquire Tuition Management Systems, Inc.
KeyBank N.A. has announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Tuition Management Systems, Inc. TMS is a leading provider of outsourced tuition planning, counseling, billing, payment, and related technology services for educational institutions. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2007 and will unite TMS’s payment systems and technology with Key's variety of education loan products. Tuition Management Systems, based in Warwick, RI, serves more than 700 colleges, universities, and secondary educational institutions. KeyCorp is one of America’s largest bank-based financial services companies with assets worth $94 billion.
