Customer Service Representatives
Customer Service Representatives help customers operate their accounts efficiently. They solve consumer complaints apart from providing them account information. A customer service representative must know all of the services and products a bank has to offer so they can be sold to customers when required.
Loan Officers
As loan officers, you are required to review applications and submit them for processing. You will help bank customers in completing loan applications and then verify the information provided on these applications. There are different lending roles available in banks and loan officers specialize in mortgage, consumer or commercial loan sectors.
Bank Clerks
Bank Clerks work on processing banking transactions. They are also employed in the position of Receptionist and Secretary. Administrative assistants, on the other hand, work with executives to manage banking clerks.
Financial Manager
As a financial manager, you are required to keep an eye on bank branch operations. If employees are finding it difficult to handle customers' queries, a financial manager will help fulfill customer requests for information.
Financial Services Specialist
Financial services specialists work with buying and selling securities. They also work with customers to help manage their money better.
Before Applying For a Banking Job
Start with gaining the right skills, necessary degrees and certificates. Find out which positions you are better suited for. In some jobs, you may be required to be a CPA whereas other positions like customer care and a teller's job, an associate degree or even high school diploma is enough. In entry level jobs little or no experience is required.
Sounds obvious, but you should still start with a resume. If you don't have experience in writing one, hire someone who knows how to do this. Put extra emphasis on your banking and finance background. If you are applying for lower positions, mention previous jobs where you have handled money before.
Upload your resume on online job websites. Various job sites and job banks provide you with a list of local and national bank jobs. Search for the type of job you wish to have and apply online quickly and efficiently.

Go through classified advertisements. These are available even in your local newspapers as well as college newspapers. Make sure you look under the categories of finance, banking and accounting.
Setup an interview with local employment agencies. There are many specialist employment services that concentrate only on banking and finance jobs.
