There's a tie atop the all-time leader board for most tournament championships at the U.S. Open. First played on Oct. 4, 1895, the U.S. Open is one four tournaments making up golf's grand slam. The other three are the British Open, the Masters and the Professional Golfers' Association Championship. In its long history, four players have each won the U.S. Open four times. They are: Willie Anderson in 1901, 1903, 1904 and 1905; Robert T. "Bobby" Jones Jr. in 1923, 1926, 1929 and 1930; Ben Hogan in 1948, 1950, 1951 and 1953; and Jack Nicklaus in 1962, 1967 and 1980.
