Description:
As a Wholesale Credit Associate for Chase Merchant Services,
you will support expert level underwriting, portfolio management and workout functions
associated with our strategic client base.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze
business financial statements and prepare credit memoranda with a focus on
writing narratives on the underlying client’s solvency and inherent risks
Recognize
possible risks that a client’s business may pose to the organization,
including financial and reputational, and be able to recommend actions to
mitigate such risks
Discuss
a client’s financial position and business with that client and/or
internal stakeholders in a professional manner
Determine
prudent risk workout strategies, present to senior stakeholders (internal
& external) and execute in line with policy and procedures.
Stay
informed about factors affecting a variety of industries and connect these
with possible impacts to our clients
Perform
secondary credit assessment on reviews up to a designated credit approval
authority limit
Core competencies include:
Strong
credit analysis skills, as demonstrated by prior work history as a credit
analyst, credit reviewer, or commercial lender, and the ability to translate
those skills to a unique kind of credit risk
Negotiation
and Influence in order to successfully managing upward relationships,
delivering recommendations to senior stakeholders (internal &
external) and executing recommendations independently.
Attention
to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills to manage
difficult conversations with clients and stakeholders with clarity and

Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial credit analyst within a commercial credit or banking environment with growing levels responsibility. Ability to understand and interpret business financial statements, tax returns, and generally accepted accounting principles.
