Position Summary
The Reverse Mortgage Consultant presents reverse mortgage opportunities to current customers over the phone in accordance with all regulations and training. This includes educating clients on the product and the process, working with Operations through the loan processing process, and following up with clients on any loan level issues through to funding.
Primary Responsibilities
Communicates professionally and clearly to clients when explaining reverse mortgages.
Using leads developed by the Company, calls on prospective clients and introduces them to the reverse mortgage products and qualifies for counseling session and application.
As appropriate and allowed, collects pertinent information from client and originates Reverse Mortgage applications.
Analyzes applicant information to determine whether the client is likely to qualify for the desired loan program.
Assists customers in choosing the proper program that best fits their needs and takes the initial loan application.
Provides guidance on the risks and benefits of the different programs available to the client. Explains and communicates the terms of each product and ensures that all of the required documents and disclosures are signed and returned in a timely manner.
Builds relationships with both internal and external customers.
Is responsive to customer needs and expectations.
Exhibits professionalism and takes pride in work when dealing with the customers.
Utilizes RoundPoint/Freedom Mortgage training materials, reference tools and other resources to provide accurate and up-to-date loan program/policy information to both external customers and internal business partners.
Ensures exceptional customer experience by overseeing the loan process from origination to close and providing on-going communication to customers and business partners.
Ensures successful completion of all assigned Mortgage Loan Officer Training activities.
Understands and complies with requirements of applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Adheres to shift requirements.
Actively seeks to develop self to next level (Sr Reverse Mortgage Consultant).
Has excellent communication skills and is clear and concise when speaking with customers.
Continually meets and/or exceeds the Sales KPI’s set by Management for Productivity and QA.
Being an Inside Sales person, it will be required to be in the designated office working approximately 40 hours a week with no outside marketing responsibilities.
Performs and sends all paperwork necessary and provides excellent customer service and follow up.
Partners with internal and external operations to consistently produce clean files.
Explains to clients over the phone on how to complete applications, ensuring all paperwork and signatures needed to process the reverse mortgage are collected timely and accurately.
Maintains timely and accurate records of all customer activity within the CRM.
Occasional morning/evening and weekend work required. (working outside of normal business hours requires manager approval)
Attends all trainings, sales meetings, orientations as directed by Management.
Uses a computer proficiently.
Maintains licensing requirements and only conducts business in states where licensed.
Qualifications

Self-starter, goal oriented sales professionally who is focused on providing the highest level of customer service to our customers.
Developing knowledge of the mortgage industry, products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines
Strong negotiation and time management skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Computer skills with ability to learn loan origination system and automated underwriting systems
Required:
Must have National loan originator license and NMLS number or willing to attain within 30 days of hire
2 years of mortgage sales experience (retail preferably)
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Remote environment but it must be within commutable distance with a branch
Ability to achieve sales goals and performance metrics.
Ability to obtain licensing in all states where licenses are required (company will sponsor and pay for these)
Maintain accurate record keeping.
High-level of organizational skills.
Communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing.
Proficient in computer-based programs and CRM's.
Perform duties with a minimum of supervision using good judgment with the ability to display and possess a high degree of professionalism in all business contacts in accordance with established rules and procedures.
Work cooperatively with team members in the performance of job duties.
Maintain a professional appearance at all times and adhere to all company policies and practices pertaining to appropriate dress.
Maintain professional and cooperative interaction with other company employees as well as clients.
Respond to customer needs in a timely and professional manner.
