Job Summary
The Cable HQ Financial Strategy & Analytics team is seeking a highly motivated, analytical thinker with a desire to gain a deeper understanding of the Cable business and the key indicators used both internally and externally to determine overall Cable performance and strategic decision making. This individual will be responsible for a variety of financial and subscriber analyses used to inform headquarters/division leadership and help shape future Cable strategy. The team is collaborative and innovative and is looking for someone eager to jump in to add value in this fast-paced, high-exposure role.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Collaborate with teammates to explore ad hoc financial and strategic questions and find creative, analytical solutions
Use data that is sometimes complex and ambiguous to provide support and assist in the preparation of high-quality presentations for senior finance leadership
Assist in determining the impact that new acquisition and retention strategies have on long term financial performance and customer churn
Perform research and analysis of industry, peers and competitors, including evaluating financial statements and operational results to deliver data-driven insights using recent trends
Present final work product to senior leadership on a periodic basis
Perform and critique economic evaluation justifications for capital expenditures
Manage, coach, and develop senior financial analysts and help prioritize their workflow
Exercise personal judgment and discretion in matters of significance, while showing a willingness to tackle challenges and circumvent roadblocks independently
Develops ways to continually improve processes to ensure timely and accurate analysis for management team.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Additional experience
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Familiarity with databases such as Essbase and Rosetta
Basic knowledge of Cable business
Financial modeling experience
Excellent communication skills
Prior coding experience a plus, but not required
