Description

The BI Lead is an integral position in Network Strategy & Analytics team responsible for oversight, design, and development of network analytics applications, centered around ownership of strategic initiatives focused on transparency solutions This role will be required to work and collaborate across the enterprise and reporting matrix, with external vendors, and consultants in addition to acting as subject matter expert on contract information system extraction. This position will be managing a BI Engineer 2 associate (with potential for a growing a larger team of additional BI Engineers depending on business needs) in addition to collaborating with internal teams and external vendors. A good fit for this role is someone who is passionate about continuous improvement in processes and proficient in handling large data sets that translate to actionable business information. Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and terminology for hospitals, ancillary provers, and physicians is desired.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in analytics or related field and 8 or more years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 4 years of demonstrated analytical experience

2 years of management experience

2 years of project leadership experience

Advanced experience with Microsoft Access, SQL (2 years), Excel & VBA (5 years)

Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations

Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction

Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate requirements between business, project management and technical projects or programs

Experience with stakeholder identification, relationship building, and working across the organization on matters of significance to senior leadership

Ability to move between coach and player role

Experience presenting complex concepts to senior leadership

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving infrastructure, capabilities, and customer experiences

Strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Experience with healthcare claims, membership, and other data sources used to evaluate cost, mix, and other key financial metrics

Demonstrated thought leadership and impact to organization

Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

Experience with Cloud services such as Azure
