Responsibilities

The Senior Finance Analytics Professional collects, compiles, verifies, and analyzes financial information and economic indicators so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions on, for example, acquisitions, investments, capital expenditure, divestitures, mergers, or the sale of assets. Analyzes the financial implications of proposed investments or other transactions so that senior managers can evaluate alternatives against the organization's business objectives. Evaluates industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive position. Analyzes revenues, expenses, costs, prices, investments, cash flow, profits, labor market trends, inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates. Mya involve financial modeling, reporting and budgeting as well. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Responsible for high level strategic analyses related to Medicaid growth and operational opportunities

DRI for RFP analyses including cost benefit analyses, strategic guidance on new programs, and helping influence data driven RFP responses

Will assist the business development team with enhancing our proof points of Medicaid improvement

Will utilize the tools and analyses of the Medicaid Trend Analytics team to form opinions and strategy for use in discussions

Will help drive corporate wide trend strategy, monitoring the external environment for industry trends that translate into actionable opportunities in our Medicaid markets

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Data analytics experience

SAS or SQL proficiency

Previous health insurance industry experience

Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Claims data analytics experience

Trend analytics experience

Additional Information:

This role can be located in Louisville, KY, Waterfront Plaza, or Tampa Bay, FL, Boy Scout Blvd (FT WAH can be considered for the right candidate. However, travel would be expected)
