SUMMARY: The Senior Manager, Strategic Pricing leads the development and implementation of pricing strategy, aligned to Business Unit/Brand strategy, for a specific set of categories within the Tyson Prepared Foods portfolio. This individual will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance teams to provide predictive analysis and recommendations to objectively guide and influence pricing strategy. Other responsibilities include:
Leads analysis around all aspects of pricing such as estimating volume impacts due to changes in price, promotions, and competitive response
Understands and applies advanced analytical models, price elasticities, and promotional lift factors to various pricing scenarios
Leverages internal and external data, including P&Ls and commodity markets, to influence and drive better decision making within the cross-functional team
Develops pricing playbooks that clearly communicate business unit, channel, and customer pricing strategies within clearly defined guardrails
Oversees development of KPIs/dashboards that monitor pricing execution, enabling leadership to clearly understand outcomes and impact on financial results
Excellent at visual display of quantitative information to ultimately drive clarity and context to all stakeholders
Natural inquisitiveness to exploring the data, mining the data and looking for insights to drive business decisions
Considered a strategic thought leader and expert in pricing to the assigned brands and brand teams
Attracts and develops team members for future opportunities within and beyond the strategic pricing team
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or master's degree in quantitative field preferred
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in strategic pricing, trade optimization, customer/trade marketing, sales, marketing & sales analytics, or category management
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent organizational and communication skills; Strong influencing and negotiating skills
SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent planning and project management skills; Syndicated Data experience - IRI, AC Nielsen, etc.; Strong Excel and data manipulation skills; Excellent analytical and problem solvingskills; Business acumen and ownership; Able to effectively maneuver through ambiguous situations; Forecasting and model building experience
