What will I be doing?
As a Manager of Portfolio Management, you will be part of a highly visible team responsible for supporting the Technology and Customer Experience Organizations by aligning strategic objectives across the Hilton enterprise. This role will support the creation and execution of progress toward key priorities, support portfolio tooling (i.e., Jira and ServiceNow), and work with key partners to efficiently intake, plan, and manage key strategic timelines across Hilton’s portfolio.
Your ability to study, refine, and implement best-in-class strategies to optimize the portfolio planning function will be essential to your success. In addition, you will:
Support a Portfolio Team comprised of FTE and Contractors focused on crafting transparency and access to strategic work required
Support tool enhancements to improve functionality and traceability of work requests, development, and delivery performance
Support a maturing continual planning process, ensuring alignment for strategic and functional projects, ongoing programs, and other key pieces of work to drive Hilton’s KSPs
Partner with field leaders to understand technology requirements and delivery timelines for improved storytelling of project/ program deliverables
Be a thought partner and collaborator passionate about developing and maintaining strong working relationships and coordination between fields, teams, and leaders
What are we looking for?
We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
Ability to creatively solve diverse problems in an ambiguous and ever-changing environment
Experience identifying key business opportunities, assessing potential solutions, and providing critical recommendations to develop future improvements to a maturing portfolio process
Ability to build relationships internally and externally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams with varying leadership styles, political environments, and changes in priorities
Demonstration of strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
To fulfill this role optimally, you should have the following minimum qualifications:
Five (5) years of professional experience within Technology or a related field
Three (3) years of Portfolio Planning, Governance, and/or Technology Program Management experience
Three (3) years of experience working in a software development and/or Agile development environment
Can travel up to 20% to Hilton offices in Dallas, Memphis, McLean, and International
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6 years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12 years of Technology related experience
Three (3) years of management level experience
Seven (7) years of professional experience within Technology or a related field
Six (6) years of Portfolio Planning, Governance, and/or Technology Program Management experience
Working administrative knowledge of JIRA, ServiceNow, and/or other Portfolio Management Tools
