Senior Finance Manager - Anaplan:
The Senior Finance Manger - Anaplan role will support Tyson’s financial planning and reporting function as a key member of the F inancial Planning & Analysis (FP&A ) and Reporting Center of Excellence driving connected financial planning solutions. The position will act as a solution architect and lead the implementation of Anaplan working along with consultants to model, design, and build business solutions that solve current financial planning business/process issues and regularly improve existing models. As the product owner and subject matter expert for Anaplan, this role is responsible for managing the overall Anaplan architecture and leading the design, deployment and governance of scalable connected planning solutions and best practices across finance. This role will also act as the Anaplan workspace admin collaborating with the FP&A business teams to facilitate financial planning processes and resolving recurring administrative maintenance.
Job Responsibilities:
The role will support, administer & maintain the Anaplan platform
Partner with FP&A Business team and IT to support the end-to-end software development cycle
Establish best practices & oversee Anaplan governance
Manage system adoption and satisfaction, including training users on the Anaplan application relevant to their jobs and provide support to users.
Modify existing models as part of a connected solution, optimization, or to incorporate new functionality
Scope & estimate future enhancement efforts with the business
Translate existing solutions, spreadsheets, and business problems to build and execute sophisticated Anaplan multi-dimensional models
Keep updated on new Anaplan functionality and upcoming releases
Own and maintain the Anaplan Data Hub/ data integration liaison between IT & business
Troubleshoot and assist with defect resolution
Grant & remove specific access to new users, monitor storage use and health of the different models.
Collaborate with FP&A business teams to support monthly/quarterly/Annual financial planning processes
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in business (Finance, Operations, Accounting, etc.) or highly technical field (Engineering, mathematics, data analytics, etc.). Master Anaplanner Certification Preferred.
Experience: 7 years of previous FP&A experience, 3 years of hands-on experience in Anaplan (or similar financial planning software) data modeling, master data management, and administration, experience integrating Anaplan with large-scale Enterprise Resourcing Planning System (ERP), including SAP
Computer Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel / financial modeling skills, Anaplan
Special Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a technical capability for financial systems development, support, reporting and automation
Passionate about business analytics, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
Deep knowledge of Anaplan’s formulas, syntax and best practices.
Strong understanding of multi-dimensional data architecture
Familiarity with Business Intelligence, Database systems, Data integration, SQL and other data technologies preferred
Exceptional communication and listening skills; ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working with large data sets to synthesize insights for management and executive consideration.
Proactive problem solver, eager to investigate the details and interpret the impact of key business drivers
Excellent ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines; able to balance short-term, urgent needs with long-term strategic initiatives
Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and requirements with a positive can-do attitude
