Description
The Business Intelligence Lead will provide senior leaders with data-driven insights regarding retail product distribution. In this role, you will work within the MarketPoint Sales Data and Analytics team and will be responsible for developing datasets, tools, and analyses that inform strategy for the sales organization.

Responsibilities
The Business Intelligence Lead will support retail leaders by providing data-driven insights. Candidates should be able to explore, analyze, and present insights from complex datasets. In this role, you will exercise independent judgement and will advise leadership based on accurate understanding and interpretation of trends observed in data and forecasts.
Works with senior sales leadership to understand business strategy and data analysis needs
Analyzes data to derive insights
Optimizes databases and tables to maximize performance of data processes and BI tools
Partners with business and technology teams to identify data and technology related needs
Writes queries to mine, integrate, summarize, and analyze data from various platforms
Builds online interactive reports
Leads cross-functional initiatives
Serves as a subject matter expert in sales performance data
Consults with business teams on processes, data, and technology related to distribution
Provides mentoring to teammates in order to promote best practices and grow the organization
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
7 years experience in data analysis and/or reporting
Experience creating dashboards, reports, scorecards, and data visualizations
Experience in MS Power BI and/or Tableau and Qlikview
Experience writing moderate to complex SQL queries
Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
Advanced experience working with large, complex data sets within large organizations
Proficiency in verbal and written communication to executive leadership
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline
Experience with Python, R, SAS, and/or other statistical/analytical tools
Experience building and interpreting machine learning models to answer business questions
Experience creating analytics solutions for insurance carriers
Project Management/Leadership experience
Experience with data engineering and analysis using Azure Cloud Platform
Additional Information
Work at Home/Remote Requirements Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance is required.
