Description
The Data and Reporting Professional 2 generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts. The Data and Reporting Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

The Metrics Analyst integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements. Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources. May create specifications for reports based on business requests. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. More specifically, the Metrics Analyst:
Generates both regular and ad hoc reports in various formats for different audiences
Searches for and presents data insights for infrastructure & operational segment leaders
Works closely with data scientist and data engineers to ensure data quality and meaning
Interfaces with I&O stakeholders to make sure trends are understood and timely
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
3 years of technical experience in data reporting
Experience uncovering data insights that align with analytic objectives using some form of data processing tool
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
In particular, strong experience managing and editing Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication skills with different levels of leadership - verbal, written, presentational
Must have passion for using data to solve business issues
Strong collaboration tool experience (Teams, WebEx, Zoom, etc... )
Ability to proactively gather information leveraging other data reports and conversations with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
1 or more years of experience in SQL, SAS
Experience working with at least one visualization tool such as QlikView, Tableau, PBI or other
Good IT and Infrastructure stack knowledge
1 or more years working in a consulting environment
Experience generating insights through data mining, improving customer experience
Experience in managed care or health care sector
Prior experience working in a system analytics and/or data warehousing environment
Cloud foundations knowledge
