The SR. FINANCIAL ANALYST, STRATEGIC TESTING & ANALYTICS role will provide day to day support of key deliverables related to designing, executing, and analyzing tests. The SFA will also align with key business partners to create financial models for new business ventures. This individual will influence and support our testing pipeline, which is used to drive ideas into the business that increase sales/margin dollars, improve operations, and/or drive cost savings. In addition, this role will provide analytical insight into the incrementality of the customer facing actions taken by the business, specifically product related merchandising strategies as well as marketing promotions and the corresponding ROI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Support the oversight of tests for the DSW brand, leveraging the APT tool to establish test versus control setup for each *Identify statistically significant aggregate lift of tests and analyze trends and impact over time; understand where the initiative is having an impact *Derive and communicate actionable insights from tests, analytics, and through the evaluation of new business models *Partner with APT (test and learn consultants) to ensure we are best in class in testing efficiency and are pursuing tests that are relevant in the current retail environment *Maintain financial models that support new business initiatives and identify KPIs to drive improved performance *Present complex financial information in a way that is actionable and understandable to all levels of the organization *Approach business questions with curiosity, keeping functional tests that can improve profitability and operations front of mind *Develop effective and collaborative relationships with functional business partners, identifying key opportunities, as well as communicating and influencing actionable analysis *Demonstrate a willingness to learn and work hands-in with new technologies, processes, and partners *Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of merchandising and marketing activities to provide insights to key stakeholders
REQUIRED SKILLS:
*Proficient in MS Excel (graphing, pivot tables, data manipulation, formulas, etc.) *Strong analytical skills, including data retrieval, organization, presentation, and summary *Ability to thrive in a highly quantitative, fast-paced environment with changing business needs *High degree of initiative, personal responsibility, and ownership *Detail-oriented with strong organization and project management skills *Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities *High degree of analytical curiosity including ability to identify and proactively solve problems *Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines *Ability to work in a multi-team environment and support various business partners *Ability to foster relationships with cross-functional partners and key stakeholders at all levels *Excellent written and verbal communication skills *Experience with reporting or query tools a plus (MicroStrategy, APT Test & Learn / Basket Analyzer, Business Objects, SQL)

QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
*At least 3+ years' experience in a financial planning & analysis, consulting, external accounting, or strategic planning role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*Experience in forecasting and/or analysis in the retail industry is a valued but not required
EDUCATION:
*Undergraduate majors preferred: Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics
