Description
The Senior Compensation Professional develops, implements, and administers compensation programs. The Senior Compensation Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Compensation Professional, you will represent both the Sales Business Aligned team and Sales Incentive design teams. The successful candidate will collaborate with leaders on solutions to compensation needs as well as create and implement sales and targeted incentive plans that drive results and ensure Humana attracts and retains key sales talent.
Responsibilities:
Partner with the Sales Business Aligned and Sales Incentive Design team to lead various initiatives including projects such as:
Evaluate the effectiveness of target incentive and sales incentive plans. This includes evaluating and analyzing sales incentive performance data on a quarterly basis, and target incentive programs on a yearly basis
Lead process improvement initiatives such as Guarantee process, On-Call and Shift Differential
Create jobs in Workday and align with the Sales team to ensure proper sales plan is on the job record
Evaluate and monitor pay positioning and target total cash levels through external benchmarking and internal talent strategy
Collaborate and assist with Sales Incentive team on plan design including pay mix, metrics, weights, and plan mechanics
Assist in implementing compensation plan documents and sales incentive training programs for plan participants
Ensure plan documents, business rules and other documentation are updated with latest compensation rules and guidelines
Establish processes that guarantee and/or strengthen compliance with legal requirements as well as mitigate risks
Work with the business on updating targeted incentive plans year over year, updating plan documentation, communication, etc. and own end to end on targeted incentive plans outside of AIP
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent in finance, economics, business, or another related field
Strong data and analytical skills with proven track record
Advanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel and MS Access and proven experience in creating complex models
Self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines in a dynamic fast-paced environment
Exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks and work under minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous process improvements
Strong communication, negotiation and listening skills to best ascertain needs and partner to build solutions to address them, while adhering to enterprise strategy and compliance requirement
Presentation skills and the ability to convey complex concepts, influencing skills, including the ability to influence senior sales leaders
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of incentive compensation plan principles and best practices (quotas, accelerators, pay mix, and on-target earnings)
