Description
The Business Intelligence Lead will work as part of the Technology Business Management (TBM) team within IT Finance under the Corporate Finance Organization. The TBM team is focused on providing cost transparency of IT Services to IT and Business Leaders and other key stakeholders. This role will need to understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
Responsibilities
The Business Intelligence Lead collaborates with various associates in IT and at various leadership levels to increase cost model accuracy. The Business Intelligence Lead describes and utilizes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable information. This role can influence department's strategy and is a supportive role to the entire IT Finance team.
Primary responsibilities include:
Responsible for gathering, loading and validating data into our IT service costing tool, Apptio, and analyzing results for insights or action steps by key stakeholders
Responsible for learning how to maintain and modify the cost model in Apptio
Collaborate with both IT and Finance leadership to enhance model accuracy
Develop dashboards and other reports as requested by end users and may develop reports for analysis activities only
Partners with data owners to resolve data gaps to increase quality of data as well as may partner with others to obtain new data for utilization within our cost model
Provide education and enablement for stakeholders of various levels
Will manage a team of 3-4 people
Other assignments as requested by leadership
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of data analysis experience OR Master's degree and 4 or more years of experience in data analysis
2 or more years of project/or people leadership experience
Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate requirements between business, project management and technical projects or programs
Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
Proficiency in verbal/written communication to senior and executive leadership
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Finance experience highly preferred
Proficiency using Azure Dev Ops OR willingness to learn
Advanced in SQL, SAS and other data systems
Experience with tools such as Tableau and Qlik for creating data visualizations
Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors
