This role is part of the IT Financial Operations team within the IT Business Management group. The team's focus is on centralizing operations to foster efficiency and on financial transparency to inform decision making and governance. The role has overall responsibility for managing enterprise wide end user hardware spend and inventory of at least $25M.
This role is part of the IT Financial Operations team within the IT Business Management group. The team's focus is on centralizing operations to foster efficiency and on financial transparency to inform decision making and governance. The role has overall responsibility for managing enterprise wide end user hardware spend and inventory of at least $25M.
Detailed Position Responsibilities:
Accountable for the accuracy of the enterprise wide user hardware spend and inventory of at least $25M per year and about 36,000 units.
Prepares, analyzes, interprets and processes the Global hardware spend for end users, including field force users, for Actual, Budget and Projections and is accountable for their accuracy and timely delivery to IT finance and the end user management teams.
Collaborates with the IT delivery teams and IT finance teams, as well as third party suppliers like DXC and senior IT management to account for all hardware end user assets; actual spend vs. projected spend. Proactively makes sure that teams handle transactions correctly.
Prepares end user hardware unit reports and analysis globally. Strives to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the reporting and analysis. Examples of reporting and analysis include:
Demand projections for end user hardware units and spend by country
Financial accruals and any related end user hardware spend monthly adjustments.
Risks and opportunities report for IT Finance
Monthly equipment depreciation
Budgeted to Actuals variance reporting.
Leads efforts with IT delivery teams and end user clients to eliminate waste and maximize efficiency in the desktop and the tablet space. Guides the clients through the lifecycle processes.
Ensures that the desktop hardware asset spend is approved before it is recorded; the costs and vendor invoices are correct; and projects have the right amount of funding and are fully approved.
Desired Experience:
Bachelors degree in finance or accounting or equivalent;
7-10 years of experience in asset management and accounting.
Must have 5 or more years of finance analytical skills.
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with employees and management at all levels. Strong facilitation and meeting management skills.
Written and verbal communication skills commensurate with daily interaction with management, peers and clients
