As part of our expanding Enterprise Risk Management organization, Interactive Brokers is seeking to recruit a Head of Risk Technology, Data & Analytics. This is a senior second line of defense role, based in Greenwich, reporting directly to the Group Chief Risk Officer.

He/she will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the systems architecture for the Enterprise Risk Management group. This will comprise two main areas:

Acting as a liaison between the CRO and the developers responsible for the IB Governance, Risk and Compliance tool (Service Now) to ensure data quality, accuracy and completeness, delivery of new workflows, access administration and reporting

Owning the Firmwide ERM data and analytics engine including architecting solutions for data ingestion, update, storage, control, organization and presentation in dashboard formats against prescribed limits, including automated alerts and reporting

He/she will also undertake independent analysis of the data and propose/present defensible and demonstrable conclusions for further review.

Responsibilities:

Owns and is responsible for Enterprise Risk technology strategy including, but not limited to, Service Now modules used for Risk, and development of ERM dashboards for intraday monitoring of risk metrics sourced from across the Group

Responsible for architecting, building and maintaining a risk database with all Level 1 Risk leads

Interactive risk dashboards for each L1 risk stripe including all required analytics

Aggregated risk reporting across L1 risks (capital, market, liquidity, credit, operational, technology, data and info)

Real time alerts where thresholds and tolerances are breached

Legal entity, department and group level risk reports – scheduled and ad hoc analytics and reporting capability

Responsible for all controls around Risk data in Service Now and the Risk dashboard to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of reporting/analysis

Day to day system administration for Service Now, including liaison with IT Service Now support lead

Responsible for maintaining all Service Now license applications for Risk, and revising functionality and workflow for non-financial risk frameworks (operational, technology and data & info)

Evolve Service Now functionality and services to optimize value for Risk and the business (incorporate business continuity and vendor risk capabilities to meet Group needs)

Delivers system functionality and/or supports ad hoc analysis of Risk data to meet ERC, CRO or exec requests in all IB companies

Undertakes ad hoc analysis of Risk data at the request of CRO – delivers high quality outputs and conclusions

Qualifications:

8 years experience in financial services or related industry where management, manipulation and presentation of large and complex data sets is required

Understanding of Risk Management and reporting – financial or non-financial – with an understanding of how risk analytics conclusions presented to support effective decision making

Technical experience in architecting, building and maintaining data structures and workflows for data ingestion, assimilation, organization and presentation

Ability to assimilate, distill and analyze disparate data sets (structures, sources, formats, code, etc.) to support critical analysis and reach actionable conclusions

Data analytics background, ideally related to Risk Management – qualifications in data management, administration, analytics required

Familiarity with maintaining, configuring and using Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) tools – knowledge of Service Now as a GRC tool a bonus

Experience in taking big data and building user dashboards for analysis and interrogation using data visualization and business intelligence solutions software – Tableau preferred

Ability to take business requirements, translate into accurate functional specifications and delivery accurate and user friendly data solutions
