Sr Analyst Risk Finance

Job Details:

The primary focus of this position is to help minimize the company's total cost of risk via various risk financing techniques. This position will be responsible for managing Tyson’s wholly owned insurance companies and creation of financials. Specific activities include: monthly loss reporting, oversight of the investment portfolio, quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley financial controls, and management of the annual audit process. Additionally, this position manages the annual process to allocate the expense of total Tyson insurance premiums to the business. Other duties will include forecasting insurance cost, managing loss experience analysis, supporting actuarial reserve study process, and assisting in management of all financial aspects of the insurance renewal processes.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in business related program, or equivalent education and/or work experience with an emphasis in math, statistics, accounting, and/or finance required.

Experience: 3 years’ experience and 2 years of analytical experience strongly preferred.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to compile, analyze, present, and interpret complex financial and statistical information to facilitate decision making; ability to communicate complex financial and actuarial concepts to clients and internal associates with varying degrees of financial acumen.

Computer Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications (specifically Excel); knowledge of SAP and insurance systems a plus; ability to prepare spreadsheets, graphs, charts, diagrams, and other illustrative tools used in presentations.

Travel: Some travel may be required

Other Skills: Strong analytical, qualitative skills, and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail; general understanding of the principles of commercial property/casualty insurance and captive insurance companies preferred; problem solving and research-oriented skills; working knowledge of financial markets; knowledge of GAAP strongly preferred.
