Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Identify U.S. Government Policy Initiatives and work to influence them alongside of our GE Renewables Government Policy Team. Work to inform the U.S. Sales team on policies and support to connect policy/initiatives with our U.S. customer goals/plans. Support other customer needs related to compliance around U.S. Government policy’s for both the present and future. Identify, qualify, and monitor operations developed by both multilateral & bilateral IFIs (International Financial Institutions) and build pipeline of business opportunities associated to such operations. Inform and mobilize regions & product lines on IFIs business opportunities and support them for adequate commercial positioning early in the acquisition & procurement cycle. Assist regions & product lines at the tendering & evaluation stage on matters pertaining to IFIs’ procurement procedures & standard T&Cs, and at the project execution stage for matters pertaining to payments, variation orders, and associated IFIs’ disbursement conditions. Own & manage IFIs module in CRM (Salesforce), disseminate IFIs information through CRM, and produce regular IFIs market, orders & performance reports. Extend targeted support to regions & product lines to help meet sales objectives & priorities. Attend relevant IFIs events and connect with key stakeholders & IFIs representatives in the Washington international development/aid community. Coordinate with other businesses & teams within GE to develop synergies on IFIs-related matters. Monitor trends in IFIs sector & operations policies, in particular with regard to compliance & governance matters. Washington, DC based position.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Finance, Engineering or Business, and 10 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree experience in a related occupation required. The position also requires: 10-year practical experience, in a business advisory role or commercial role, with international development assistance policies, bilateral and multilateral international financial institutions, and their project, financing, compliance, procurement and complaint procedures, as well as their data and procurement portals; 10-year experience in the electricity transmission & distribution sector in a business advisory role or commercial role, including dealing with energy sector policies, project development, and financing, in emerging and developing countries; 5-year experience advising or working in a large international commercial or sales organization and supporting business development and policy outreach activities; 5-year experience using a CRM or database tool and building & maintaining a pipeline of business opportunities, performing data analysis, and defining relevant Key Performance Indicators; 3-year experience, in a business advisory role or commercial role, with contracts funded by U.S. federal agencies and their energy sector policies, either domestically or in relation to activities or projects outside of the U.S. Washington, DC based position. Remote/Telecommuting permitted -- report into company headquarters office.
