Humana is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Claims Cost Management Solutions Support team. The Senior Data Scientist will use mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Scientist will:

Develop, maintain, and collect structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting

Create reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy and tactics

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics and/or related field

5 years of experience in data analytics

2 years of experience programming with either Python or R

Experience leveraging large sets of structured and unstructured data to develop tactical and strategic insights

Experience developing and validating statistical forecasting models or predictive models

Experience interpreting and communicating analytic results to analytical and non-analytical business partners

Clear oral and written communication skills

Flexible, dynamic personality who is able to work independently in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics and/or related field

Healthcare or managed care experience

Demonstrated experience with PowerBI, SQL, DataRobot or similar statistical tools

Knowledge of NLP (Natural Language Processing), RegEx (Regular Expression) or RPA (Robotic Process Automation).

Experience performing data management, mining, and manipulation along with analytics
