Description
The Senior Financial Analytics Professional will be responsible for assisting in the review, development, and enhancement of Medicare Risk Adjustment revenue models, controls, and risk mitigation strategies. The specific focus will include, but is not be limited to, testing existing financial modeling and controls, reviewing and enhancing existing process documentation, and recommending enhancements to modeling techniques.
Responsibilities
This individual will work closely with the model owners to develop a strategy to implement enhancements to models and documentation, as well as facilitate the production of monthly projections and variance analyses. The successful candidate will: demonstrate the ability to work independently to develop recommendations; have extensive knowledge of SQL (Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio); possess excellent communication skills. This individual will have the ability to think creatively to develop new solutions that improve model efficiency, accuracy, and minimize risk.
Assist in development and maintenance of internal control documentation
Ensure consistent application of controls and develop metrics to track progress
Recommend and implement enhancements to existing models and procedural documents
Assist in the development of monthly forecasts and variance explanations
Develop and maintain an understanding of the Medicare Risk Adjustment payment model
Create and review financial valuations for special projects as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
5 years relevant work experience
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to solve problems and develop recommendations independently
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
Preferred Qualifications
Medicare Risk Adjustment Experience
Experience with Medicare or other healthcare data
Financial or actuarial background
