Summary:

This role is for preparing for the Loan officer role. They are preparing by completing all necessary licensing requirements and all required training to become licensed.

Essential Job Functions may include:

Perform specific tasks assigned by Branch Manager

Analyzing market information and developing a business plan for their designated area

Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective clients

Gain knowledge regarding all of the organization’s loan products and an understanding of the qualifications required of each applicant

Complete all necessary requirements for Loan Originator licensing

Must pass NMLS Exam with passing score of 75% or above

Daily illustration of excellent customer service skills

Other Related Duties:

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience as loan originator.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, and work place policies. Ability to write professional correspondences. Ability to write routine business reports. Ability to speak effectively with other employees and/or customers. Ability to present formal information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, customers and/or the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work and apply mathematical concepts such as multiplication, division, addition , subtraction, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proration’s in calculating mortgage payment, good faith estimates and truth in lending statements.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

See above under Qualifications. Loan officer is not permitted to hold conflicting licenses such as a realtor license.
