Reporting to the Regional Director of FP&A Intercontinental, this position will play a key role in the development and execution of the Intercontinental Regional strategy, by providing financial analysis and decision support for product sourcing strategies, business development activities, and budgeting. The candidate will be required to manage financial deliverables within a complex global organization. The candidate must have proven ability to facilitate management dialogue and decision making through fact based analysis, evaluation of alternatives, and highlighting the optimal value options. Fluency in financial modeling, discounted cash flow and ROI analytical techniques is key.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as a business partner who adds value by understanding the needs of the business and proactively identifying opportunities that drive financial results

Build breakthrough business analytical financial models for evaluating business opportunities and resource allocation. NPV and ROI analysis

Be an internal consultant to business partners by providing sound financial guidance and advising management of relevant risks or potential opportunities

Support Market specific and Intercontinental executive leadership with meaningful and actionable insights and analysis around life cycle flexing , both at the brand and total portfolio level

Lead financial support for a portfolio of pipeline and inline products, responsible for execution of key financial planning processes and supporting pre-launch activities and operational decision making

Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal finance and commercial partners.

Support Budget processes by providing timely and accurate information

Drive continuous process improvements by identifying and simplifying processes within finance

Actively influence the identification of continuous expense improvement

Prepare presentations for senior management review

Manage special projects, ad-hoc analysis to ensure highly effective outcomes

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA/CPA preferred

Business development experience

12 years of experience in accounting or finance positions with proven upward progression

Strong analytical, quantitative, financial modeling and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload

Good command of accounting and understanding of internal controls

Ability to deal with complexity and uncertainty while driving teams towards actionable decisions

Strong business partnering skills. Ability to build relationships and proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.

Intellectual and emotional capability and commitment

Independent, Dynamic, Proactive, Flexible

Financial systems experience including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) & SAP, Hyperion

Manage FP&A Capability in a $3B Region

Influence business decisions/financial results

Enhance leadership skills with colleagues across multiple international markets; e.g. China, Australia, Brazil, Russia

Working in a highly volatile and dynamic environment, risk management and leadership under ambiguity

Working exposure to Senior management in intercontinental; VP of Finance - intercontinental, and SVP of intercontinental, and Corporate Senior Financial Management
