Where you Come In

The Senior Financial Analytics Professional collates, models, interprets and analyzes data in order to identify, explain, influence variances and trends. Explains variances and trends and enhances modeling techniques. May possess financial or actuarial background. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Humana is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst that truly enjoys researching, interpreting and explaining variances in payment information. Our team of professionals work with internal financial, actuarial and contracting associates to implement and support complex payment arrangements with external vendor partners. We operate in a constantly changing environment that requires an ability to learn and adapt. In this Senior Financial Analyst Professional role, we need someone with attention to detail, SQL data-gathering skills, an ability to understand the financial implications of data, and excellent communication skills.

Required Qualifications - What it takes to Succeed

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum 5 years data analytics and reporting experience

Experience in compiling, modeling, interpreting and analyzing data in order to identify, explain, influence variances and trends

Knowledge of how to write SQL queries

Advanced Excel Skills (VLookups, Pivot Tables, etc.)

Must be able to explain variances and trends and enhance modeling techniques

Experience working with moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree

Financial or actuarial background

Healthcare knowledge/experience
