Tax Senior

Profile

Interactive Brokers seeks a Tax Senior to support its information reporting and withholding tax operations. The successful candidate will operate across all business units and functional areas within the firm to support our growing brokerage business; including operations, technology, and tax. The role will be based in Greenwich, CT. Role is Hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.

Responsibilities

Support IB’s information reporting and withholding tax compliance efforts, including

oversight of daily income and withholding payment activity

reconciliation of year-end reports versus weekly IRS deposits (945,1042)

support IRA withholding and reporting requirements

filing of Form 1042-s, Form 1099s and related state tax filings

oversee collection and processing of W-8 and W-9 tax forms and related documentations according to US and international tax withholding and reporting rules

primary point person to respond to customer inquiries regarding FATCA, CRS and related similar international tax and reporting questions

identifies gaps and risks with current operating procedures, processes, and controls

support the tax elections process

Provide reporting metrics / updates to remainder of team

Create new specifications for tax technology updates and new features

Oversee & assist with documentation for Audit/Risk reviews

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

4 years of relevant industry experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field.

Strong tax technical background in Chapter 3 and 4 withholding and Common Reporting Standards

A good understanding of Tax Operations and Technology

Advanced MS Office skills, including MS Excel
