Description
The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer within Pharmacy Analytics and Consulting helps to solve complex business problems and issues by creating insights for our business partners. As part of the Pharmacy Analytics and Consulting Financial Analytics team, your responsibilities could primarily involve the following:
Lead and support pharmacy analytics visualization projects focused on financial impacts
Work collaboratively to design, build and maintain BI data visualization standards for our business partners
Work collaboratively to optimally apply data warehouse, BI architecture, data science and visualization tools and techniques (i.e. dashboards)
Identify and understand business issues to map these issues into quantitative questions
Coordinate the integration of data to determine trends and impact
Work with complex health care databases to produce statistical output and interpret results
Communicate insights and analytical findings to a broad range of audiences, including leadership
Use PowerBI tool including visualizations, data flows, etc.
Understanding pharmacy and financial data and business processes
Identify business issues and evaluate solutions with minimal direction
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years of technical experience in data analysis
Experience working with big and complex data sets
Experience in SQL, SAS or other data systems
Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience
Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Advanced knowledge in SQL, SAS and other data systems
Experience with tools such as Tableau and Power BI for creating data visualizations
Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors
