GENERAL SUMMARY:The Compensation Analyst is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and administration of market competitive total reward programs. Will provide analytical support to all aspects of compensation, including base pay management, short and long-term incentive plan administration.
REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager, Compensation
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyze job content to determine FLSA exemption status and salary grade assignment based on
external market data, internal equity and established compensation guidelines.
• Complete annual third party salary surveys to ensure market data is valid and useful
• Maintain third party survey repository and job description database
• Assist in the preparation of job descriptions
• Advise HR Partners in the analysis and administration of current compensation programs, to include
analyzing and communicating pay administration programs for their respective groups
• Provide compensation support for annual merit planning process
• Assist in the creation, documentation, maintenance and administration of compensation policies and
procedures
• Monitor and process minimum wage increases
• Conduct on-going store starting rate analysis and process changes
• Assist with distribution of compensation communication materials
• Assist in the administration of short-term variable plans
• Assist with the annual analysis of all pay structures and recommend market-based adjustments
• Conduct analysis needed to determine annual merit budget based on market and internal analysis
• Assist in administration of executive pay programs including equity and deferred compensation
• Work with internal and external auditors regarding SOX requests
• Prepare reports and analyses of data related to compensation
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• General knowledge of job analysis and evaluation, market pricing, survey participation.
• Proven analytical skills
• Strong PC skills related to Microsoft Office programs to include Microsoft Word and Excel
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid presentation skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum two years' general HR, compensation or finance experience
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or equivalent work experience
