The Senior IT Vendor Management Professional establishes & implements software acquisition, protection, maintenance & retention policies, and standards & procedures that are aligned with IT standards and strategy.
Responsibilities
The Senior IT Vendor Management Professional
Facilitates ongoing IT & Business software needs for selected vendors and products by ensuring that subscription, maintenance and support renewals are completed in advance of their expiration and follows up with appropriate documentation and communications.
Investigates and documents vendor HW/SW support & software licensing entitlements, licensing allowances, deployment and use through annual research tied to Humana's contracts, license agreements, life cycle management stages and consultation with Humana associates & manufacturers
investigates existing and available software products; reviews licenses and/or contracts to ensure that hardware and software equipment is covered by the contract and properly documented.
Supports the information technology function, evaluates vendor performance, needs assessment, spend optimization and risk management.
Identifies current technology solutions and works closely with internal partners to understand future needs and to develop cost effective strategies aligned to business objectives.
Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
Influences department's strategy, processes and tactics
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations; requires minimal direction; follows established guidelines/procedures.
Communicates comfortably and effectively through various channels - email, individual interactions, group meetings, and presentations - to end users, management, developers, software suppliers and publishers.
Required Qualifications
3 or more years of prior IT vendor/contract management experience
Must have minimum of 2 years prior experience with general software licensing, maintenance and SaaS products with an understanding of software licensing types, entitlement and compliance
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Strong working competency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., finance, accounting, computer science)
Consumer-side software contract/renewal experience
Additional training or certification in vendor, contract, risk, asset, finance or supplier management

COVID Vaccination Policy

At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/ HIPAA information.
