Roles & Responsibilities

The Associate Director, WW VAP & Medical will be responsible for supporting all aspects of planning and analysis for the Global Hematology. Partner closely with Finance colleagues supporting World Wide VAP and Medical teams. This position will provide key support for making strategic, financial and economic decisions while leading the day-to-day finance activities, listed below:

•Be an active member of the Global Hematology team

•Partner with Above Market for WW Hematology VAP and WW Hematology Medical leadership to ensure proper resource allocation while achieving financial targets.

•Provide financial updates to Above Market leadership on a monthly basis, including achievement of synergy targets.

•Work with Above Market teams to provide realistic monthly forecast while ensuring proper expense recognition on a monthly basis.

•Analyze financial information necessary to provide insights to Global Hematology Leadership Team

•Establish key metrics which enable proactive monitoring and tracking of financial performance

•Lead the Financial Planning and Management Reporting Processes - Monitoring business performance, challenging results and developing recommendations to improve financial performance

•Support remediation of financial performance related issues

•Support strong Finance organization attracting and retaining key talents and being a role model

•Ability to work in a fast pace environment often with aggressive deadlines and quick turnarounds

•Maintain sound internal controls environment and ensure compliance with local laws and Company’s policies

•Ensuring relevant accounting procedures and controls are in place and operating as well all requirements for US GAAP are fulfilled

Requirements

•10 years experience in Finance

•Relevant U.S. or other market experience in Pharma supporting multiple functions/BUs

•Strong working knowledge of financial systems including SAP/Oracle and Hyperion preferred

•Successful track record of performance

•Ability to work constructively across a complex matrix structure with multiple partners

•Work close with key members of the Hematology Leadership team.

•Experience product specific financial planning and analysis and sales forecasting is a plus

•Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, auditing or a related field

•CPA, Chartered Accountant and/or an MBA is a differentiator
