Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Serve as the Financial Leader for GENX engines acting as Chief of Staff leading a team to drive order to cash process, forecasting, cost accounting & cash flow management. Own consolidation and Financial planning & analysis for the total PnL across the engine & services channels. Set financial strategy & business case in alignment with the business leaders and support in defining the yearly budgets & forecasts to stay aligned with the total business strategy. Partner with biz leaders to plan, measure & support in driving biz operational metrics & helping identify solutions to meet &/or exceed these KPIs. Manage and coordinate with external parties’ finance counterparts to oversee Billions of dollars worth of financial transactions with vendors, partners & others. Partner with program managers to oversee product cost out projects by using LEAN techniques. Oversee financial plan by aligning with commercial product line team focusing on selling spare engine / parts. Manage a team of analysts overseeing the day to day activities of accounting accruals, discount managements, warranty reserves as well as cash flow management. Support business leaders linking their operational drivers to explain the financial variances versus short term budgets and long term plans. Partner with horizontal team members to analyze, oversee and risk assess long term statistical models & identify mitigants to minimize financial & technical volatility. Connect with internal audit & compliance teams to continuously assess & test risk, controls & document processes to ensure appropriate, fair & true representation of our financial statements. Act as the single financial liaison for all business critical projects to save costs, bring revenue, lean the cash process or have long term impact on the business plan & profitability.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Position requires Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and 7 years of progressively responsible, post-Bachelor’s degree related experience. The position also requires 7 years of financial accounting, auditing, Financial planning & analysis in big international companies with focus on the Aviation industry; 5 years of experience in project management experience and implementation of LEAN Techniques; Some experience partnering with senior VPs to drive enterprise-wide initiatives linked to financial performance and productivity; Some experience leading cross-functional projects. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report/appear into/at General Electric Company’s West Chester, OH location.
