Responsibilities

The Specialist Programs Senior Value-Based Programs Professional advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Be responsible for maintaining and enhancing current program logic for the various specialist value-based programs

Develop, test and implement new logic for new specialist focused programs

Evaluate, monitor and maintain logic code-set enhancements using internal and external datasets

Provide support for current specialist value-based programs and future initiatives

Be a subject matter expert in all facets of assigned programs

Work with stakeholders to continually redefine best practices to ensure our partners have the most accurate, timely, and actionable information

Assist internal and external stakeholders, including Provider Development and Market leadership to evaluate and expand specialist value-based programs into new markets, bundles, and business areas

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field

3 years of experience with SAS Enterprise Guide or similar experience with SQL and other relational database management systems

3 years experience with data interpretation and analysis

3 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, experience in basic and advanced functions within Excel

Ability to think 'outside the box'

Ability to identify issues and provide resolutions quickly

Must be adaptable, able to manage and prioritize diverse and complex projects

Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment

Capable communicator with ability to engage with individuals and groups; able to put context around data

Preferred Qualifications

Master's or other advanced degree/certificate in a quantitative field of study

Experience in Value-Based Care/Programs

Familiar with Humana's internal datasets (EDW, Service Fund, etc) or experience working with medical claims data
