Reporting to the GVP of Investor Relations (IR),\u00A0the IR senior manager will be responsible for providing support to the GVP and Associate Director to achieve BioMarin\u2019s investor relations\u2019 objectives.\u00A0 \u00A0The three IR team members will work together to accomplish key initiatives, that span many activities including investor targeting, PR drafting, managing/coordinating investor meetings, helping execute large investor events like R&D Day, JP Morgan-related activities and interfacing with vendors and managing those invoices and payment requests.\u00A0 The senior manager will have increasing exposure to analysts and investors, with the goal of increasing his/her visibility and credibility internally and externally with key stakeholders.\u00A0 This individual must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a continually changing environment with little to no guidance.\u00A0 This position interfaces with BioMarin executives, shareholders, research analysts and colleagues so a high-level of professionalism and discretion is required.\u00A0Core Responsibilities of the IR senior manager: Builds, maintains and tracks investor targeting efforts and strategies, working closely with the GVP, with the goal of adding new BioMarin shareholders. In time, manages investor inquiries/requests and responds in a timely manner. Analyzes and interprets financial and other support data for management reports, presentations, analyst requests, Investor Relations Web site and investor materials. Assists and supports the preparation of quarterly earnings deliverables such as: earnings releases, conference call scripts, earning presentations and ad-hoc financial analyses. Contributes to and updates Investor Relations presentations to the financial community, as well as other investor materials including press releases and transaction releases. Monitors and tracks stock activity and industry and market trends and provides analyses and insights. Monitors, reviews and summarizes investment community research on Company and industry; distributes to IR team members. Performs research and analysis of industry, peer and competitors' financial statements, operational statistics and valuation. Researches, analyzes and reports on stock ownership, investor base and trading activity of BioMarin, its peers and competitors. Assists in coordination of shareholder, analyst/investor meetings, conferences and materials distribution. Assists in the management of the annual shareholders' meeting and proxy preparation process, including coordination with the Corporate Communications, Legal and Shareholder Services departments. Facilitates and manages the quarterly disclosure document preparation process, including coordination with the corporate Accounting and Legal departments. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent working hours and availability, as needed, to attend IR events, as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities as needed.\u00A0Proficiency and ExpectationsThe ideal candidate must have prior experience in investor relations (and ideally public affairs/corporate communications), working with a publicly traded biopharmaceutical or healthcare company.General Requirements:Requires a BA/BS or higher degree in a related discipline with appropriate work experience; at least 7-10 years of total relevant work experience in investor relations.\u00A0 A scientific and/or financial background is a plus.\u00A0Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry in successfully managing all or a significant part of the Investor Relations functionExcellent written, verbal, computer and social media knowledge and skills\u00A0Highly motivated individual who can successfully work independently in a fast paced, deadline driven environmentExcellent organizational and planning skillsConfidence in communicating with sophisticated investors, company executives, the scientific community, and the media\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0 PLEASE NOTE: Absent a Medical or Religious reason that prohibits vaccinations, all our incoming employees must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
