Description
The Director, Compensation develops, implements, and administers compensation programs. The Director, Compensation requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment.
Responsibilities
The Director, Compensation is aligned to the Corporate groups (Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Strategy/Corporate Development, Digital Health & Analytics, Legal, Risk, Compliance, IT) and is accountable for the delivery of all compensation programs and consulting required to meet the needs of the business. The Director will:
Lead a team of 8 compensation professionals
Build relationships with senior leaders, learn their organizations and business strategy, and set/align compensation practices to support that strategy
Use strategic knowledge and deep subject matter expertise to increase enterprise capability across multiple functions
Provide strategic support by advising Executive Officers on complex compensation problems involving topics such as: executive pay, organizational restructures, career paths/development, job reviews/leveling, offers, regulatory/FLSA, market pricing, incentives, rewards, retention, etc.
Leads and executes annual compensation processes (Base, Bonus, Equity) for Corporate functions with an $150,000,000 budget
Lead and/or participate in the strategy, design and execution of major compensation projects
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (any discipline)
Proven Compensation and/or Human Resources consulting experience
Ability to lead a team accountable for the delivery of compensation programs and business-aligned consulting
Proven consultation skills in a business-facing role
Ability to tell a story, draw insights and make recommendations utilizing data
High level of execution and ability to influence
Proven capabilities with Excel and Powerpoint
Strong research, analytical and problem solving abilities
Dedication to accuracy and strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven organization
Previous experience working within a team-based atmosphere with shared responsibility
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments while working with various departments
Highly organized and self-driven with an ability to meet multiple deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Economics or comparable discipline
HR Business Partner or Organizational Development experience
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering compensation solutions in support of business objectives
