Job DescriptionThis role is in VMWare's Security Business Unit (SBU), VMWare Carbon Black; a leader in cloud-native endpoint protection dedicated to keeping the world safe from cyber-attacks. The VMware Carbon Black Cloud consolidates endpoint protection and IT operations into an endpoint protection platform (EPP) that prevents advanced threats, provides actionable insight and enables businesses of all sizes to simplify operations. Job Role and Responsibilities:As the primary finance contact you will build strong business partner relationships with key business leadersEffectively work with business partners to create and execute financial plansConstruct detailed financial models, including summarizing large amounts of data, to determine business trends and projected productivityDevelop and apply an advanced technical understanding of Hyperion SystemsWork closely with accounting team to ensure expenses are properly recorded and work with business partners to understand significant variances between forecast and actual resultsSupport preparation of presentation material for budget vs actual, Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews and Annual PlanningDrive efficiencies in our processes through standardization and reporting automation.  Manage the key sets of dashboards and reporting packages on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.Demonstrate the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, interpret results and develop insightful presentations that articulate actionable recommendations to management.As an essential part of the SBU Finance team, you will be expected to be flexible and assist with Ad Hoc analysesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.  MBA a plus3-5 years of experience in finance or business operations rolesExperience working in enterprise software, SaaS or other high-tech companyAdvanced Excel capabilities.  Experience with Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Essbase skills a plusStrong quantitative skills, with a demonstrated passion for using data to derive insights and support decision makingA team player, able to step in and help out other members of the team when neededThis job requisition is not eligible for employment-based immigration sponsorship by VMware.Category : FinanceSubcategory: FinanceExperience: Manager and ProfessionalFull Time/ Part Time: Full TimePosted Date: 2020-05-12VMware Company Overview: At VMware, we believe that software has the power to unlock new opportunities for people and our planet.
