ASOW Senior Finance Advisor

What is the role

Atlantic Shores is shaping the future to a clean energy and is looking for finance professionals that with talent and imagination, can combine knowledge of commercial drivers and strategic rationale, to integrate them into important financial analytics and insights for business decision-making. The successful candidate provides financial leadership across commercial contracting and claims, finance structuring, tax, treasury, accounting, credit, and market risk.

As an ASOW Senior Finance Advisor, you will be part of the Finance organization and is responsible to ensure Top quartile delivery of the full range of finance capability to Project 1 team.

Also, you will work with the Project 1 team in setting the foundations of Atlantic Shores in New Jersey. This will require leadership with compassion and care, that understands the needs of the community and embraces a diverse and inclusive thinking across all stakeholders impacted by the project.

Other accountabilities:

You will ensure the effective and efficient delivery to Project 1 of Finance functional activity in relation to all Finance areas

Ensure finance risks are integrated into the full value and risk discussion and provide objectivity to performance management and commercial decision making. Influence project outcome by ensuring value and risks is made transparent and understood in both decision-making and performance management

Also, you will lead the implementation and maintain a robust Control Framework for Project 1

Co-create business value opportunities. In collaboration with valuation team, ensure assessment and framing of value and risk of full opportunity is performed for each opportunity

Support business in the execution of OREC activities and support Energy Manager in the optimization of the sale of clean power

Provide finance risk and opportunity assessment and commercial input throughout the contracting process: from contracting strategy through award and implementation. Supplier Financial Performance management

Provide risk/value-based support to Insurance and Claims management

In collaboration with Project Financing team, support the preparation and execution of project financing plans for Project 1

You will be responsible to develop and implement the Project to Asset (P2A) finance plan and ensure smooth handover to Asset Team

Support Project close-out (expected to last 6 months after first production)

Requirements

What we need from you

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

You must have a minimum 6 (six) years of experience, ideally within the power or renewable energy sectors in either a banking setting or in a project developer

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is required. Preferably to hold a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)

A plus would be a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Chartered Accountant licensure

Proficient and experienced in working in Excel with discounted cash flow valuation, risk modelling, and impact on accounts

You must have a strong presentation creation and delivery skills

Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders, internally and externally

Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Proven track record of delivering complex projects

Continuous Improvement mindset essential

The base salary range for this position in the United States is $146, 000 - $218,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.

Physical Requirements

Flexible, combining 2-3 days at office and virtual work.

Working Conditions

85% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. Approximately 15% of the time may be spent in offsite workshops or visiting other Atlantic Shores or parent offices, or training.
