The North East Region is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to partner closely with our local market Clinical leadership to provide support through complex analytics and reporting. The role's work will provide insights into opportunities to identify key insights, evaluate program impact, and improve operational performance. This role will have exposure to regional leadership and may gain exposure externally with various health care partners.

Responsibilities

Humana is seeking to fill a Senior Finance Analyst role within the Northeast Region Finance department to support the Medicare Advantage line of business. The Senior Finance Analyst works with local market Financial and Clinical leaders internally and Vendors and Providers externally. The role will leverage experience in Excel, SAS or SQL coding languages to develop and perform complex analytics with a holistic lens on analyzing the member experience, financial implications, and key performance metrics. Projects will include analytical responsibility for local market clinical Test & Learn pilots, custom analysis in support of Providers or Vendors, analysis of emerging trends, and creation of reporting packages.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree

2 years' experience using SAS or SQL

2 years' experience performing data analysis

Comprehensive Knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently and collaborate with teammates

Preferred Qualifications

MBA, CPA, or Actuarial background

Medicare Advantage experience

Additional Information

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
