This role will establish the development of the Partner Funding and Program Management function that drives the strategy and direction of partner investments for the company. You will work closely with Partner Marketing Leadership, our Partner team, and regional/field marketing to standardize processes, automate, and provide guidelines to scale funding programs worldwide. You will lead a cross-functional, cross-regional team effort to develop the strategy, priorities, goals, processes, and performance. You will help train the Partner Marketing team to optimize productivity, joint marketing plans with partners, operating plans, efficiently demonstrating Marketing Development Funds (MDF), and global processes. Additionally, you will serve as our business leader interface to Finance to lead the global partner marketing budget.This role requires a leader with excellent analytical abilities, marketing processes skills, outstanding business acumen, people leadership, and outstanding written and oral communication skills. The successful candidate will be data-driven and have a strong understanding of marketing metrics.Key job responsibilitiesLead communication of the Development Fund programContinually ensure alignment of strategy & plans with Marketing & Sales leaders, based on business direction and prioritizationDrive effective budget management for sales and marketing development funds \u2013 across forecasting, planning, operational management, and measurement of impactEstablish marketing return on investment focused (versus spend focused) MDF program, that enables the company evolution of our partner strategyProactively lead funding *MDF, SDF, BDF, etc) approvals and spend in alignment with planDocument processes, lead monthly performance reviews, build reporting mechanisms, and provide insights for variancesCollaborate with Finance monthly to ensure effective allocation and usage of programs budgetRequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field8 years of professional experience in marketing analytics, business analysis, budget management, or comparable analytics positionDemonstrated ability in program management, project management, marketing/sales operations, and process improvements for high-technology companies or productsProficient in Excel and data visualization such as Tableau and SmartsheetsProven track record to develop individuals, lead teams, influence peers, and connect with executivesKnowledge of funding platforms such as 360Insights & AnsiraStrong understanding of marketing goals such as conversion rates, Cost per lead, cost of customer acquisition, and Marketing return on investmentExperience using Salesforce and Marketing Automation platforms (e.g. Marketo) as well as work-flow automationExperience communicating (verbal and written) optimally with both business and technical teamsWe value diversity, equity, and inclusion at Splunk and are an equal employment opportunity employer.
