Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for the preparation of annual, monthly, and weekly plant production financial statements, budgets, and reports. This includes gathering and processing information to generate accurate performance reports, providing costing and reporting of weekly production, and preparing weekly cost and margin projections. Other duties include staffing and supervising accounting and clerical team members, supervising payroll for all location team members, ensuring adherence to generally accepted accounting principles, and adherence to Tyson accounting policies, which may involve in-house auditing of books and inventories. Other duties include developing annual operation budgets, and completing other special projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field normally acquired through a Bachelor's degree in an academic field directly related and essential to the job. Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
Experience: 3 years. Manufacturing Accounting or Managerial Accounting is a plus.
Computer Skills: Requires standard computer skills including Microsoft office, generating spreadsheets and word processing skills, and knowledge of general ledger applications including purchasing, receiving, accounts payable, materials management and an understanding of Income statement and Balance sheet line items. Other Systems include but not limited to SAP and Multiview.
Communication Skills: Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel in a single department or work unit who perform similar and/or interrelated tasks and activities.
Special Skills: Must work well in a team environment.
