Senior Consultant, Mergers & Acquisitions (West/Southwest Region) - Insurance Practice We are currently looking to hire a Senior Consultant into our West / Southwest Mergers & Acquisitions insurance diligence team. As part of an industry-leading team, you will advise our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our M&A and Transaction Solutions business group. As a Senior Mergers & Acquisitions Consultant, you will report to the Managing Director who runs the regional due diligence team. This candidate will be based out of San Francisco, CA ideally. We may consider candidates in other offices, specifically: Walnut Creek, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Irvine, CA; Dallas & Houston, TX; Salt Lake City, UT. Job ResponsibilitiesLead property & casualty insurance due diligence projects Work directly with private equity or corporate clients as well as their other outside advisors which typically include accounting, legal and environmental expertsCoordinate with internal resources to develop findings including brokerage teams, actuarial experts, surety experts, Reps and Warranties brokers, originators and other M&A team membersManage and execute client deliverables including interim email updates, phone conversations and a final reportAnalyze and provide technical input on insurance coverage, claims history, insurance-related collateral, surety bonds and insurance sections of the draft purchase agreementCollaborate with originators in establishing relationships, converting due diligence targets to ongoing clients and helping to develop opportunitiesProvide ongoing relationship management oversight to private equity clientsPrepare proposals and make presentations to clientsBe viewed as a thought leader (creative thinking and innovation); proven credibility (knowledge/ trust) both externally and internallyWrite due diligence reports, white papers, presentations, newsletters, etc.Communicate and capture the value that Aon brings even to the most challenging situationsRequired Experience/ Skillsets3 or more years of insurance due diligence experience. (Candidates wil more experience will be considered on a case by case basis)Property and Casualty insurance technical proficiency. Broad knowledge of specialty insurance including property, casualty, financial lines.
