A role on the Financial Planning and Analysis team means providing insight and guidance to support Target’s strategic growth strategies and financial decisions. You’ll deliver objective and financially-focused insights to the business owners and finance leaders. You will be a critically important resource for long-term and annual financial planning, analysis and drive cross-company initiatives.
As a Director, Global Supply Chain and Logistics Finance, you will drive a number of strategic initiatives across the Field Operations such as: testing new projects, forecasting, planning, and executing against financial goals.
You will be able to influence across a variety of leaders, including both finance and operational partners. We are seeking a leader who can manage a number of tasks in parallel, effectively lead a team of people, and identify strategic opportunities for contribution. You will work cross functionally in the organization to ensure efforts and execution of business objectives are met. The leader will ensure control of operational spend and will create an environment that enables our business partners to meet their business needs. You will deeply engage with a broad spectrum of senior leaders across Field Operations, and will be responsible for ensuring consistent implementation of network-wide initiatives and delivering financial results.
The successful candidate will have strong finance and analytic background, project management skills, and the ability to understand the numbers, the operations, and how they tie together.
You will manage a diverse team requiring an environment of trust, innovation, accountability, open communication, and personal development. Ensure that each team member has the support and training they need to maximize their performance. Prioritize the highest value-added work, while creating an atmosphere of empowerment. Coordinate appropriate development plans for each team member and focus on engagement of team to ensure high level of performance. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.
About you:
8+ years of relevant Finance or Analytical related experience. Supply Chain experience preferred.
5 years of experience hiring, leading, and developing teams including a demonstrated ability to set and execute a clear direction for your team.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; tailor message by audience, negotiate consequences, handle crisis, setbacks, and conflicts constructively and diplomatically, provide essential information to the right people at the right time, and relationship-building aptitude.
Ability to think strategically and creatively while applying excellent business judgment.
Excellent oral and written skills to communicate complex issues and influence others internally and externally.
Ability to work successfully in an ambiguous cross functional environment.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills.
Ability to work with all levels of management.
B.A/B.S degree in finance or math-related field, MBA preferred.
