The Business Intelligence Lead solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Business Intelligence Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
The Business Intelligence Lead for ARC (Salesforce) solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Business Intelligence Lead is responsible for optimizing the Group Segment's reporting capability, delivering contemporary and actionable reporting, well-rounded insights, and proactive recommendations that are contemporary and enable a differentiated presence within Humana. Deploying a proactive and consultative approach, the Business Intelligence Lead provides strategic thought leadership and drives execution to identify and address business and internal consumer issues and opportunities for reporting and analytics enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
Shepherds intake process for new enhancements / developments
Leads the establishment of new reporting capabilities, including vetting with appropriate internal stakeholders, securing business approval and IT funding and collaborating with other ARC (Salesforce) team members and IT on system requirements and UAT sign-off
Proactively and continuously solicits and incorporates internal constituent feedback
Drives new functionality and opportunities for growth of the CRM reporting and analytics tools and team to support and align with the needs of internal stakeholders
Collaborates with appropriate partners to solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight for decision-making
Continuously monitors ARC system usage to proactively identify and address additional reporting or training needs
Lead of ongoing enhancements and expansion to ensure platform keeps pace with the evolution of technology and is highly regarded by internal stakeholders
Partners with Sales Training, Sales Champions and other ARC (Salesforce) team members to train internal stakeholders on how to use the tool
Serves as the business liaison between Sales, aligned partners, and technology teams to translate business needs into system requirements
Understands upstream and downstream impacts of new and updated system capabilities and how they impact the business
Deliver compelling presentations to internal constituents that highlight our unique reporting and analytics capabilities, position the team as differentiator for Humana
Partners with leaders to anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business and collaborates with appropriate partners to design/implement solutions to meet these needs
Collaborates with the Group Sales Enablement team and Group Segment as a whole to ensure that the work of the team is cohesive, prioritized and meets the needs and goals of the business
Contributes to the build out of the ARC (Salesforce) team; continuously evaluating opportunities to address and contribute to the evolving needs of the business
Communicates results and business impacts of initiatives to internal stakeholders
Leads 1 or 2 associates.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
7 more years of data analysis experience
7 or more years of project management or strategy advancement experience
Sales or Sales Enablement related experience
Proficiency in understanding sales related data
Proficiency in compiling, analyzing and interpreting sales related data trends
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on sales and continuously improving consumer experiences that translate to better outcomes
Excellent oral and written communication skills, previous experience presenting and interacting with executive leadership
Flexible, dynamic personality with a demonstrated ability to lead and influence others without authority while contributing individually
Technical expertise, consulting and facilitation skills, ability to understand and translate the needs of our sales teams
Ability to make recommendations about training and business communication

Work At Home requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required. A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Experience with tools such as Tableau and Qlik for creating data visualizations
Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors
Additional information
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, Overtime as per business needs.
Training: Associate will partner with our ARC experts for several weeks to get up to speed.
