Description:
King University is accepting applications for the position of Financial Aid Counselor/Technical Specialist.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Experience: Financial aid or related experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CAMS Administrative software.
Responsibilities:
• Package student aid in a timely manner utilizing PowerFaids software and CAMS administrative system for a designated student population.
• Provide counseling support, answer questions, perform verification, and meet with students and/or parents regarding aid eligibility.
• Award aid programs to students in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies.
• Assist Director as necessary in the preparation and presentation of financial aid related topics and materials to students, parents and other community groups
• Work with Admissions representatives and High School counselors during campus visit days and school visits to disseminate financial aid information
• Provide backup to Director, ensuring critical areas of response are completed in the directors absence
• Work with the Financial Aid staff as a team, providing backup for critical areas of response in their absence.
• Attend federal and state training as required to maintain working knowledge of regulations
