Humana is seeking a Senior Financial Analytics Professional that will be primarily responsible for the medical cost trend analysis and initiative development within the Employer Group Segment. The Analytics Professional will work with the both Finance Market Development leadership, and will collaborate with the other Trend Analytics Professionals to analyze medical unit cost and utilization trends and use that analysis to develop initiatives to reduce trends and improve the bottom line. This position will work with local network teams, clinical teams, local sales leaders, corporate business partners, and Market Development leadership to develop and drive the initiatives
Work with Finance and Market Development leadership to develop, maintain, and execute the financial goals
Support Market Development leadership in preparing for and facilitating market meetings, and coordinating offline work with market members or subgroups
Collaborate with multiple areas of the company to develop and implement trend initiatives that will/could include Network, Clinical, Sales, Product, EG Segment Finance, Actuarial, Compliance and Legal
Track and drive completion of trend initiatives once identified and started
Work closely with Market Development group to help implement initiatives
Report and facilitate trend analysis and initiative work to senior leaders both within the Employer Group and globally.

Responsibilities and Key Competencies include:
Obtain and analyze data to impact trends for assigned geographical markets.
Present findings and ideas to segment leaders, and follow-up on their feedback and requests.'
Good working knowledge of data base structure (e.g. Enterprise Data Warehouse) and data mining tools (e.g. OBIEE, SAS, SQL, CSTAR etc.)
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, Power BI, Access and multi-dimensional databases
Strong data analytic skills, reporting experience, and knowledge of how to take the analytics further to drive financial change.
Exceptional written and oral communication/presentation skills
Strong financial skills and business acumen
Proven meeting/conference leadership and facilitation skills
Familiarity with medical claims and coding (ICD9, CPT)
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Actuarial Science, Health Informatics, or a related field

Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field
Prior experience in a fast paced insurance or health care setting
Proven analytical skills; data mining, trending, modeling, and forecasting
Advanced knowledge of ICD9 and CPT coding; familiarity with ICD10 and HCPCS (Strongly desired)
Advanced skill level in SAS coding and/or SQL coding
Strong working knowledge of EDW and SAS medical claims, member, and provider table structures (Strongly desired)
Knowledge of Humana's financial reporting systems, processes, and databases/sources
Knowledge of Humana's internal policies, procedures and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
