The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team within Nutanix is a high-energy team providing finance partnership to business leaders across all functions. This is a great opportunity to lead and be a part of a high impact team in a high growth, publicly traded, subscription software company. We provide analysis to support strategic decisions, conduct financial reviews of a wide range of business issues and manage financial processes such as planning, forecasting, reporting, and tracking performance.

We are seeking an initiative-taking leader with exceptional analytical skills to join us as a Vice President, FP&A. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, experienced, empathetic, and highly analytical leader. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer

The Role:

Drive global financial and business planning on a quarterly, annual, and long-term basis

Lead the budgeting process at the corporate and functional levels

Partner effectively with business leaders to create and manage functional plans and budgets

Own the forecasting of company performance, including the quarterly landing process

Deliver financial metrics and insights accurately and on time to facilitate decision-making

Use data and analytics effectively to derive actionable business insights across functions

Drive strategic finance initiatives such as business model evolution, capital structure, and more

Actively support the preparation of earnings material and messaging, partnering with the Investor Relations team

Own the preparation of Board and Audit Committee materials, partnering with the accounting team

Lead the global FP&A team of approximately forty people with an ethical, inclusive, and high-performing culture

You are:

A proven leader with significant financial and leadership experience and with:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

Executive presence and an ability to influence effectively

Ability to balance attention to detail with big-picture thinking

Track record of building high-performing and inclusive team environments at scale

Collaborative approach with a bias for action

Public and software company experience at $1 billion scale preferred

15 or equivalent years of experience in finance or related roles, MBA preferred
