Aon Global Risk Consulting has an exciting career opportunity for a Risk Manager in New York City, NY. This position will be an outsourced role for a prominent client. As the Risk Manager, your primary responsibility is to assess and own the client’s global insurance and risk management program. You will have an important and highly visible role! What will your responsibilities look like?Prepare the CFO for annual Board of Director presentation for Directors & Officers (D&O) insurance renewalConduct management self-assessment for Global Business ControlsPrepare and present quarterly assessments to senior managementOversee management of Global Invoice Payment processCoordinate with Procurement department on all vendor servicesContribute to strategic risk management planning meetingsYou Bring Knowledge and ExpertiseThorough knowledge in all areas of insurance, including international insurance placementsExpertise in implementing established risk management practicesExperience handling insurance broker relationshipsAwareness of current issues in the field of risk managementExcellent written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated proficiency in standard business documents; ability to draft directives, write general correspondence of a caliber generally required by professionals, and use of written communication to optimally explain positions taken in conjunction with contract negotiationsVerbal skills to include ability to explain technical insurance issuesSocial skills needed to maintain good working relationships with brokers, insurers, vendors, clients at all levelsAbility to work for and with others on projects, either as part of a team or team leaderCommitment to ethical behavior, punctuality and regular attendance, follow-through and completion of projectsAdministrative and organizational skills are critical; must be detail orientedTime management skills are important; must be flexible and able to handle a variety of tasks and projects simultaneouslyComputer skills – experienced in Windows environment and MS tools such as Word, Excel and AccessPolished presenter and skilled PowerPoint userRequired Experience:Minimum 15 years of Risk Management Experience within a Risk Management DepartmentEducation:Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Finance, AccountingMasters’ Degree an assetARM designation an assetWe will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
