Job Purpose/Summary:
Play a leadership role in execution of Tyson’s Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) strategy. The position will work as part of the M&A group to review and drive business cases, review and develop financial models, lead due diligence and drive sourcing and integration activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with senior representatives of the business to assess and prioritize M&A transactions to best align with enterprise strategy and growth objectives
Lead project management, due diligence and valuation phases of transaction execution. Partner with business teams, internal functional experts (e.g. legal, accounting, tax, etc.), and outside advisors to drive execution
Lead efforts of managers and senior managers on the M&A team
Take primary responsibility for review and development of financial projections for merger and acquisition opportunities. Review and perform detailed financial analysis; comprehensive pro forma financial models, valuation analysis, and synergy models in support of potential transactions
Responsible for reviewing and delivering high quality presentation materials and reports to business unit leaders and senior corporate executives
Lead post-acquisition integration by ensuring that cross-functional teams are all executing on their respective M&A integration plans
Requirements:
Education/Certifications: BA/BS with top-tier academic background, MBA preferred
Experience: 5 years of experience at an investment bank, private equity, venture capital or corporate development group
Computer Skills: Advanced excel modeling and power point skills
Communication Skills: Very strong verbal and written skills.
Special Skills: Strong project management skills, broad financial acumen including a strong foundation in accounting and corporate finance principles
Supervisory: Lead efforts of managers and senior managers on the M&A team
Coordinating efforts across internal and external stakeholders
Travel: 30%
