We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as the Finance Coordinator in the Accounting Department.
*There is one position that can be filled in our Scotts Valley office. In office presence will be approximately one day a week.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Reporting to the Accounting Director, you will:
Perform a variety of administrative functions in support of Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Payment Strategy departmental activities
Support Finance Division leadership with committee activities, meetings, and special projects

We oversee the overall fiscal management of the Alliance, including maintaining, recording and reporting financial activities for the organization.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a knack for great customer service
Have well-rounded administrative experience
Be versed in Windows based PC systems, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
Have some knowledge and experience with meeting coordination
Have strong attention to detail, as well as skill at moving the work forward, managing priorities and deadlines while maintaining commitment to accountability and results

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Knowledge of:
General administrative procedures and standard business office practices
Operating standard office equipment (skill required)
Proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and standard business correspondence formatting
Principles and practices of customer service
Windows based PC systems, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
Principles and practices of meeting scheduling and coordination
Ability to:
Interpret, apply and explain policies and procedures
Identify issues of concern, gather and evaluate information, and make recommendations for action
Exercise tact, diplomacy and discretion, and demonstrate strong customer service skills
Perform basic mathematical calculations, including percentages
Produce organized, accurate and detail-oriented work, develop recordkeeping systems, and maintain accurate records, files, and documentation
Schedule, support, and coordinate meetings, including agenda and minute preparation and distribution
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
A minimum of two years of experience performing administrative support activities which included some customer service responsibilities (an Associate’s degree may substitute for one year of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying
OTHER DETAILS
While this position is connected to one of our Alliance offices, we are in hybrid remote/in-office work environment right now and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely.
Our Alliance office locations have officially re-opened as of May 2, 2022 and while some employees may work in full-time telecommute schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
Based on the nature of work, this position may require onsite presence, which is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.
