The role will support the Worldwide Lymphoma Commercial Team, with a focus on DLBCC, CLL, and Follicular Lymphoma. This role is responsible for managing the design, execution, analysis, recommendations and reporting of primary/secondary market research projects (both quantitative and qualitative) to provide strategic guidance to Marketing and the extended brand team in support of the global launch of BMS’ CD19-directed CAR T-cell therapy. The ideal candidate will develop strong leadership relationships with senior business partners (Global marketing team) and lead strategic assessment efforts to provide insights to our customers to maximize the future market potential of BMS’ CD19-directed CAR T-cell therapy. This role works closely with disease area matrix teams (including leaders and teams in Commercial, R&D, Medical, & Market Access) to inform key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities and Major Duties
Manages primary (qualitative and quantitative) research projects to efficiently deliver creative, customer and market-based input on strategic and tactical business issues
Independently designs and executes standard research methodologies, partnering with team members and outside vendors to customize research design and methodologies where appropriate
Synthesizes data from multiple sources and develops realistic, insightful and actionable recommendations for the business stakeholders, and present the data/recommendations in a coherent, meaningful way
Understands complex clinical and scientific data and is able to integrate that understanding into the brand insights.
Prepare presentations, deliver research findings, and make strategic recommendations that maximize the long-term value of the brand
Effectively prioritizes assignments in line with business priorities
Works closely with the internal cross-functional teams (Marketing, Medical, Sales and Access) and represents the Customer Insights & Market Research function on key internal business teams and work streams
Partners with Analytics colleagues to develop integrated deliverables with deeper, break-through insights
List of minimum requirements:
BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Market Research, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Social Science, other Scientific degrees or equivalent required
Advanced degree in General Business, Finance, Economics, Market Research, Operations Research, Statistics, Engineering, or other Scientific degrees preferred
Experience – Responsibility and minimum number of years
3-5 years of relevant primary market research experience
Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly desired; therapeutic category knowledge for relevant job scope strongly desired
Competencies – knowledge, skills, abilities and other
Experience in the key functional areas of market research, including design and analysis of primary market research and secondary data analysis, required. Forecasting or other modeling experience desirable.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems/data gathered from a variety of sources, and use the data to develop key recommendations. Intellectually curious with a growth mindset.
Strong, concise and impactful written and verbal communication skills,
Strong collaboration skills in a matrixed environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balance multiple projects simultaneously and work independently to deliver timely and accurate information and analyses
