Job Description

This position is responsible to lead operational excellence and data analytics initiatives on the Kankakee site, and manage cross functional teams to ensure projects are rolled out and delivered according to milestones, budget and other relevant factors (eg. cGMP, Safety-, Reliability- (service-, costs-, capital-) aspects).

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Ensure all aspects in projects are conducted in a safe manner and meet all site and company EHSS policies.                              

  • Ensure the cascade of the network strategy onto the Kankakee site and to link it with the Kankakee roadmap for OE and DA, in close collaboration with the Site Operations Leadership team and the Project Portfolio Team

  • Lead operational excellence and data analytics initiatives on site level, being the owner of the corresponding methodologies, monitoring and managing the progress of the OE/DA roadmap

  • Ensure that scope, milestones/deadlines and activities are met within define project plans, supported by the relevant KPIs

  • Ensure contribution to the definition of global standards and implementation of them on the site

  • Contribute to and act as Project lead on global teams for E2E OE/DA initiatives as required

  • Support the projects teams to resolve escalated issues, ensure scope compliance, remove “road blocks” to success.

  • Support the development of the appropriate capabilities to ensure anchoring the OE/DA mindset and capacity within the values streams and local support functions

  • Proactively communicates updates to relevant stakeholder groups (eg. Global Ops Head, Site Head, Site Operations Leadership Team)

  • Act as change ambassador for strategic cultural activities and role modeling CSL employee brand & Kankakee's strengths as member of the Kankakee Site Operations Leadership Team

  • Support actively the development of the global OE/DA team, and drive some of its specific development areas according to his/her expertise and interests

Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • University level degree in Business Administration/Economics/Pharmacy and/or MBA

  • Extensive Project Management, Management Information reporting and Account Management experience.

  • Overall relevant work experience in industry of minimum of 10 years, ideally at multi-national organizations; exposure to different functional areas.

  • Proven experience in managing strategic projects, project management/risk and issue management and reporting in a highly regulated environment.
